Country Ham Biscuits

A pride of our Virginia culture, Country Ham Biscuits combine salty cured country ham in a fluffy biscuit. This is a tasty Southern tradition!

Ingredients and Method
- 2 cup flour
- 4 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoon shortening
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup Finely minced country ham
- Sift flour and baking powder. Mix with the minced country ham. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until all have the consistency of meal.
- Add milk, handling as little as possible. Pat out with hands or roll on a sheet of waxed paper dusted with flour.
- Cut with a biscuit cutter and bake in a hot 425-degree oven until browned.
