We've survived The Great Depression, a World War, multiple generations, and a catastrophic fire, but we've never experienced something quite like this.

As PopPop would say, "time's change and you've gotta keep changing with it, but once you know what's right, you adhere to it." If you haven't heard the phrase from us yet, it rings true, especially now that we're all in this together. With our current climate, we wanted to give you a quick overview of how COVID-19 is affecting us and how we're pushing forward to maintain the normalcy of bringing the comfort of country ham to you and yours--please see below!

How You Can Help Virginia's Communities:



First and foremost, all of our home states are hurting and our communities need our help. As proud residents of Virginia, here are two organizations we've worked with that are offering support to those in need.

The Holli Fund - The Holli Fund provides emergency grants to food service workers who are in a crisis in the Richmond, VA area. A portion of our ham shop sales goes to assisting our struggling restaurant communities. The VA 30 Day Fund - The non-profit Virginia 30 Day Fund "provides forgivable loans for Virginia-based small businesses. The forgivable loan is intended to provide immediate financial assistance (within a maximum of three days) to meet payroll, preserve healthcare coverage for employees, and save jobs while they await recently approved federal funding." As many of our longtime customers are aware, we had a devastating fire back in 2016 which we're still recovering from, (and yes, we're still litigating against the insurance companies) but that hasn't stopped us. We continue to work with small and family-owned American country ham producers to make premium cured meats based on our expertise until we can rebuild. We're working closely with our partners to ensure safety, quality, and taste are the top priorities.

Due to overwhelming demand, there may be delays in the shipment of your order. We are continuously updating the checkout process to give you the earliest available ship date possible for you to select. Still, there may be times when certain weeks will be unavailable for shipping. In these abnormal times, customer service responses may be delayed. Although we do work with a third-party call center to help with sales calls, Carmen, our Customer Support Manager, is responding to every email and phone call as quickly as she can. For Your Ham Shop Visits:

Back in March, Terry, Erin, Angela, and the rest of the Edwards Ham Shop team completely redesigned how we interact with our customers at our brick and mortar ham shops. We have locations in Surry and Williamsburg, VA and both stores now offer zero contact pickup.

For Your Grocery Store Shopping:



Our Wholesale Manager, Keith, has been working hard with distributors to get country hams, bacon, and sausage to specialty grocery stores. We encourage all of our customers to practice social distancing by ordering online or having your Edwards' products delivered.
